- Step 1: Start by draining your canned fruits thoroughly. Press them gently with paper towels to remove excess liquid.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Cool Whip and sour cream. Fold them together gently until fully incorporated and smooth.
- Step 3: Add the mini marshmallows and shredded coconut to the bowl. Stir gently to distribute them evenly throughout the creamy base.
- Step 4: Fold in the drained mandarin oranges and pineapple chunks carefully.
- Step 5: Add the halved maraschino cherries and chopped pecans if using. Fold everything together one final time.
- Step 6: Transfer your salad to a serving bowl, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Chill overnight for better flavor. Reserve some fruit for garnish before serving.
