  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 11 oz can mandarin oranges (drained)
  • 20 oz can pineapple chunks (drained)
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries (halved)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Start by draining your canned fruits thoroughly. Press them gently with paper towels to remove excess liquid.
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Cool Whip and sour cream. Fold them together gently until fully incorporated and smooth.
  3. Step 3: Add the mini marshmallows and shredded coconut to the bowl. Stir gently to distribute them evenly throughout the creamy base.
  4. Step 4: Fold in the drained mandarin oranges and pineapple chunks carefully.
  5. Step 5: Add the halved maraschino cherries and chopped pecans if using. Fold everything together one final time.
  6. Step 6: Transfer your salad to a serving bowl, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
