Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Flank Steak or Top Sirloi
  • 6 cups Mixed Salad Greens (Arugula, Spinach, or Romaine)
  • 1/2 cup Crumbled Blue Cheese
  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1/2 Red Onio
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1/4 cup Toasted Walnuts or Pecans
  • Salt, Black Pepper, Garlic Powder, Olive Oil
  • Balsamic Glaze or Red Wine Vinaigrette

Method

  1. Remove the steak from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking and pat it dry.
  2. Rub the steak with olive oil and season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the steak for about 5 to 7 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting time based on thickness.
  5. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for at least 10 minutes.
  6. In a large bowl, toss mixed greens with a small amount of dressing.
  7. Add halved cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced red onions, and sliced cucumbers to the greens.
  8. Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin strips and place over the salad.
  9. Sprinkle crumbled blue cheese and toasted walnuts on top.
  10. Drizzle with more dressing or balsamic glaze and serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure to slice the steak against the grain for tenderness. Use cold blue cheese for the best texture. Store components separately if you have leftovers.
