Method
- Wash and dry your cucumbers thoroughly. Then, slice them into thin rounds, about 1/8 inch thick.
- Place the sliced cucumbers in a colander. Sprinkle them with salt and toss gently. Let them sit for 15 minutes.
- Prepare your creamy dressing by combining sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Whisk until smooth.
- After 15 minutes, rinse the cucumbers under cold water and pat them dry.
- Add the dried cucumber slices to the bowl with dressing. Include the sliced red onion and chopped fresh dill. Toss until evenly coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, serve within 4 hours of preparation. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
