- Wash the broccoli thoroughly and cut the florets into very small, bite-sized pieces.
- Cook the bacon until crispy, then crumble it into small pieces.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, crumbled bacon, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, diced red onion, and shredded cheddar cheese. Toss gently.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and sugar until smooth.
- Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss until evenly coated.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Make sure to dry the broccoli thoroughly after washing to avoid a watery salad. For best results, add sunflower seeds just before serving.
